Longevity Clinic in Newport Beach, CA: Living Longer and Living Well
Medically reviewed by Dr. Gaurav Goswami, MD, MS, DABRM · Last updated October 2026
The Goswami Clinic is a physician-led longevity clinic in Newport Beach, California. Rather than promising to stop the clock, Dr. Gaurav Goswami, MD, MS, DABRM, focuses on healthspan: the years you stay active, independent, and able to do what you enjoy. Care can include a full evaluation, treatment for joints and injuries, a men’s health assessment, physician-supervised peptide therapy, and adult stem cell banking, which preserves your own cells now for possible future use.
Most people don’t only want more years. They want more good years: to keep playing 18 holes, stay competitive on the tennis court, travel without worrying about their knees, and keep up with their kids and grandkids. That is the goal of longevity medicine at our Newport Beach clinic. It’s not only about living longer. It’s about living longer with good health and a quality of life you would actually choose.
A longevity clinic focuses on protecting health and function over the long term, rather than only treating problems after they appear. The central idea is the difference between lifespan and healthspan. As Harvard Health Publishing explains in its overview of lifespan versus healthspan, lifespan is the number of years you live, while healthspan is the stretch of life when you are reasonably free of disabling disease, pain, and serious limitation.
That gap matters. Harvard notes that average U.S. life expectancy has risen from about 47 years in 1900 to close to 79 today, but healthspans haven’t kept up, and many people now spend a decade or more managing multiple chronic conditions. The same review notes that genetics probably explain only about 10% to 30% of the variation in lifespan. That leaves a lot of room for habits and medical care you can influence.
Longevity medicine works in that space. At The Goswami Clinic, that means pairing proven foundations with regenerative and men’s health services where they fit, and being direct about what the evidence does and doesn’t support.
Every plan starts with a consultation with Dr. Goswami. He reviews your medical history, current symptoms, and any prior imaging or lab work. Just as important, he asks what you want to keep doing ten and twenty years from now. A patient whose goal is to keep surfing has different priorities than one who wants to walk a golf course without knee pain.
From there, the foundations come first. The CDC recommends that adults get at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity each week, plus at least two days of muscle-strengthening activity. Strength matters more with age. According to Harvard Health’s guide to sarcopenia, most people gradually lose about 3% to 5% of their muscle mass each decade starting at age 30, and muscle loss is linked with falls, fractures, and loss of independence. Sleep, nutrition, and avoiding tobacco round out the basics.
Clinic treatments are then considered as additions to those foundations, never as replacements. Depending on your evaluation, a longevity plan may include:
Adult stem cell banking to preserve your own cells for possible future use
Non-surgical regenerative options for joints, tendons, and sports injuries
A men’s health evaluation, including erectile dysfunction and lab-based hormone assessment
Physician-supervised peptide therapy for selected patients
Referral to your primary care physician or a specialist when something needs a different kind of care
Adult stem cell banking is one of the most forward-looking services we offer, and it fits naturally into a longevity plan. During a short outpatient procedure under local anesthesia, Dr. Goswami collects a small amount of adipose (fat) tissue. The tissue is processed by a specialized laboratory, and the cells are cryogenically stored for possible future use.
Why bank now rather than later? Laboratory research suggests that the age of the person donating cells matters. In a 2014 study published in the Journal of Translational Medicine, fat-derived mesenchymal stem cells from older donors showed more signs of cellular aging, slower growth, and a reduced ability to develop into other cell types than cells from younger donors. This is laboratory research, not proof that banked cells will lead to better treatment results. It is, however, the main reason some people choose to bank while they are healthy instead of waiting until a need arises.
It’s important to be clear about what banking is and isn’t. Banking is a preparation step, not a treatment. Whether stored cells can be used later will depend on your medical needs and the FDA rules in effect at that time. The FDA cautions consumers that it has not approved any stem cell or exosome product to treat orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, chronic pain, or fatigue, and no stem cell product is approved to slow aging. Dr. Goswami reviews these points with every patient who asks about banking.

Mobility is the backbone of healthspan. As Harvard Health puts it, strong muscles help you carry groceries, climb stairs, swing a golf club, and get out of a chair. When a nagging shoulder, knee, or back starts cutting into the activities you love, it can quietly shrink your world.
For patients with joint pain, tendon problems, or sports injuries, Dr. Goswami offers non-surgical options that may be appropriate after a careful evaluation, including PRP therapy, shockwave therapy, and regenerative stem cell therapy. Our page on sports injury treatment explains how these options are matched to specific injuries. Not every patient is a candidate, results vary, and Dr. Goswami will tell you when physical therapy, a different specialist, or surgery is the better route.
Sexual health is often an early signal of overall health. Harvard Health notes that erectile dysfunction is often an early warning sign of heart disease or other circulation problems, because the same artery-narrowing process that affects the heart can limit blood flow to the penis. That is why new or worsening ED deserves a medical evaluation, not just a prescription.
Dr. Goswami’s erectile dysfunction evaluation starts by identifying likely causes, sometimes with lab work or a referral for further heart and blood vessel testing. Regenerative options such as PRP are still being studied, and the American Urological Association’s guideline considers PRP and stem cell treatments for ED experimental. Dr. Goswami discusses that openly. Our men’s health and hormone optimization program uses lab results, not symptoms alone, to decide whether any hormone treatment makes sense.
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules in the body, and they have become one of the most talked-about tools in longevity circles. At our clinic, peptide therapy is prescribed only after an evaluation and is monitored by Dr. Goswami.
The evidence varies widely by compound. Some peptides have meaningful human research behind them, while many popular ones have been studied mainly in animals. Regulation varies too: the FDA has flagged several peptides, including BPC-157, as substances that may present significant safety risks in compounding. Dr. Goswami explains the evidence and regulatory status of any peptide he recommends, so you can make an informed decision.
The two overlap, but they answer different questions. Biohacking is mostly about how you feel and perform now: energy, recovery, sleep, and training. Longevity medicine takes the longer view and asks what you can do today to protect your mobility, health, and options decades from now. Many of our patients start with one and grow into the other, and stem cell banking often connects the two.

A longevity clinic focuses on extending healthspan, the years you stay active and independent. At The Goswami Clinic, that includes a physician evaluation, guidance on exercise and other foundations, and services such as stem cell banking, regenerative treatment for joints and injuries, men’s health care, and peptide therapy when appropriate.
No. No clinic can stop or reverse aging, and no stem cell product is FDA-approved to slow it. The realistic goal is to protect mobility, catch problems early, and support how well you function as you get older.
It depends on your goals. Banking preserves your own cells at your current age for possible future use, but it is not a treatment, and any future use depends on your medical needs and FDA rules at the time. Dr. Goswami reviews the potential benefits, costs, and limits before you decide.
There is no single right age. Laboratory studies show that fat-derived stem cells from older donors tend to grow and develop less well than cells from younger donors, which is why some people choose to bank sooner. Dr. Goswami can help you weigh the timing.
Biohacking focuses mainly on near-term performance, energy, and recovery. Longevity medicine looks further ahead and aims to protect mobility and health for decades. The two often overlap in practice.
